Halong Bay, on water and on land!

It is for this reason that, taking advantage of a long weekend in Vietnam, we decided to go and discover this mythical bay, as well as its sister, the "land Halong Bay", less known but just as superb.

Moving deeper into Halong Bay

We continued paddling past many more magnificent sites. Suddenly someone spots something moving on the cliff. It is a family of langurs, a primate (not a monkey) related to the lemur.

Halong Bay and beyond: Adventures with Thuy

Back on the boat for more cruising. A little while later, we ended up in a swimmable area, so a bunch of us jumped off the boat. The water was way warmer than the air, and it was a really fun time.

A while after lunch we boarded the small boat (attached to the back of our boat) for a quick ride to the Hang Sun Sot caves, which are a series of caves filled with stalactites and stalagmites and were very cool to see.
